BOB MacCANNELL, President & CEO

MEET BOB MacCANNELL

Bob possesses a wealth of experience in the solar PV industry working with commercial, residential and institutional customers. A graduate from Wilfrid Laurier University with an Honours Degree in Economics and Business Administration, Bob began his career in solar in Melbourne, Australia, where he was influential in the development of over 100 residential solar energy systems.

Bob took on a leadership role at one of the largest solar developers in Canada during the launch of the Feed-In-Tariff Program in Ontario. He successfully created a team to manage over 90MW of projects, representing nearly 1000 commercial developments. Bobby also acted as the spokesperson for the Canadian Solar Industries Association (CanSIA).

Bob obtained his Certified Energy Manager accreditation in 2013 enabling Brightworks Solar to conduct full scale residential and commercial energy audits. Bob’s vision and passion for the environment and sustainable living are exemplified at his own home, where he maintains a rooftop solar energy system.

TARAS BEZCHLIBNYK, VP Operations

MEET TARAS BEZCHIIBNYK

Taras is an accomplished, senior executive with more than 25 years of national and international experience driving complex and high-risk change for organizations in a manner to ensure they are successfully managed, implemented and adopted.

His extensive, diverse experience in building and leading Operations, PMO and Quality Assurance teams includes risk management, project portfolio management, program & project management, budget management, resource management, quality management, automation, process engineering, vendor management, and outsourcing.

At Brightworks, Taras is responsible for jointly overseeing all aspects of Strategic Planning, Management, and Operations. Prior to joining Brightworks, Taras was responsible for building, directing and managing the Strategic Plans, Operations and Project Management Office at several companies, including Partsroom Ltd, AMP Solar Group, TMX Group (formerly Toronto Stock Exchange), Intria Items Inc., City of Toronto and Reuters Information Services. He was also responsible for Quality Assurance and Testing at Symcor Inc and TMX Group.

Taras is a graduate of the Physics Specialist program at the University of Toronto, where he specialized in theoretical nuclear physics.

ADAM NUTSON, Sales Manager

MEET ADAM NUTSON

Adam has a long track record of success in sales and management in the solar, automotive and hospitality industries. A graduate of Fanshawe College, Adam began his career in the hospitality industry, where he played a key role in overseeing restaurant operations for two start-up ventures. These restaurants became successful franchises under his management as he established processes and procedures.

Adam’s role as Team Manager at Discount Car and Truck Rental saw him recruit new business and manage existing customer accounts. He was responsible for securing strong partnerships and converting large corporate accounts. Adam successfully guided his team to be recognized as the top 5% for customer service levels in all of Discount Car and Truck Rentals across Canada.

Adam is a proven ambassador of building strong relationships with customers and providing exceptional support. His vision is to apply these qualities to his passion for a greener planet and a brighter future.

GREG BRAY, Project Manager

MEET GREG BRAY

Greg is a Senior Level Construction Expert with expertise in business development, strategic client development, successful multi-disciplinary team management, and project delivery.

He has the exceptional ability to construct and facilitate cohesive teams, interface with public agencies, and liaise with key stakeholders. Greg is an accomplished Lean and Integrated Project Delivery advisor and highly skilled at pre-construction methodologies including Integrated Project Delivery.

Greg has over 18 years of experience in project management and leadership spanning the industrial/mechanical and consulting industries. Greg reports directly to the President and assists with the planning, scheduling, and oversight of various jobs and contracts.

Occasionally, he lends a hand to our purchasing and quality departments.

Greg works closely with our customer partners to help resolve special issues and problems. Subscribing to the belief that an innovative company cannot rest on its past successes, he often serves as the leader or facilitator of our continuous improvement events.
